Before Your Visit

A little preparation goes a long way toward comfortable, even pigment retention.

General: All Services

Please follow these rules

No procedure can be performed over active inflammation, breakouts, or acne at the treatment site
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 24 hours before your appointment, but never stop a physician-prescribed medication without their approval
Avoid peels, Retinol/Retin-A, Tretinoin, and other exfoliating acids for at least 2 weeks before your appointment (and for 2 weeks after, to protect your results)
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks before your appointment

Get a good night’s sleep and eat a full meal beforehand as sessions can run a few hours
Arrive well hydrated
Come with makeup removed around the treatment area, including foundation, so we can read your true skin undertone for color selection
Disclose any lidocaine allergy or prior PMU/microblading history in the treatment area when you book

Brows

Wait at least 30 days after Botox®/Dysport® or a chemical peel before your appointment

Exact pause windows for skincare and injectables can vary by product. We’ll confirm your personal timeline during booking and on your intake form.

Lips

If you’re getting lip filler, schedule it at least 30 days before your appointment

Moisturize your lips daily for the 3 days leading up to your appointment
Prone to cold sores or fever blisters? The procedure can trigger an outbreak, so it’s best to contact your physician about a preventive prescription ahead of time

Eyes

No lash extensions or false lashes. If you’re wearing extensions, an eyeliner service cannot be performed
Remove contacts before your appointment; please bring glasses instead
Don’t dye or perm lashes for 5 days before (or 7 days after) your appointment
Pause Latisse® at least 3 months before an eyeliner procedure specifically. Other lash growth serums should be paused 1 month before eyeliner procedure.
